Creative Crieff Bids Farewell to Their Talented Students

Since February this year, Creative Crieff has been collaborating with the University of Stirling. In September, the student team presented their final year project to the Creative Crieff Board.

The Stirling Management School offers a consultancy project as part of its programme for final year students. Businesses ranging from micro-level enterprises to charities, multinational corporations, and government organisations can submit a business proposal. If selected as appropriate, the business is matched with a suitable group of students.

As a community charity, Creative Crieff aims to regenerate and provide economic and social benefits in Perthshire. A key focus is supporting young people and creating opportunities for them. We required assistance in understanding the communication and engagement needs of younger age groups. This collaboration was a perfect fit, blending our business knowledge and aspirations with insights from a team of diverse, local, and global multicultural young people. The team developed a strategy that offered us a fresh perspective on how to use different communication channels effectively.

This partnership has been an extremely positive experience, and we would encourage other businesses to support this programme. Susan Thomson, Creative Crieff, the Business Lead, commented, “I have been so impressed with this group and the level of detail in their recommendations. They have completely immersed themselves in our work, met with local people in various ways to gather opinions, experimented with technology, and conducted high-quality research to find the latest evidence on community engagement. What they have produced will inform our future decisions.”

Karen Macartney CEO added “The presentation and hard work of the student team from the University of Stirling have been exemplary. Their commitment and insight are greatly enriching our projects, demonstrating the profound impact that skilled and passionate individuals can have when aligning with our community-focused initiatives. I am exceedingly impressed by their contributions and look forward to the lasting benefits their efforts will bring to Creative Crieff.”

Thank you to Kaitlyn, Vicki, Safa, Harita, and Theo for all their hard work, and we wish them the very best in their future careers.

“Creative Crieff continues to foster strong partnerships and looks forward to future collaborations that inspire and transform our community.”
